Speaker takes exception to two MLAs `behaviour`

Criticising two Congress MLAs for their behaviour in the Assembly, Jharkhand Speaker C P Singh today adjourned the house till 2pm.

Ranchi: Criticising two Congress MLAs for
their behaviour in the Assembly, Jharkhand Speaker C P Singh
today adjourned the house till 2pm.

"The house is being adjourned till 2 pm following the
behaviour of Chandrasekhar Dubey and K N Tripathi (Congress
MLAs)," the Speaker said after they disrupted the question
hour.

"Why did you say that you won`t allow the house
proceedings. You can`t browbeat others in the house," the
Speaker said while pulling up Dubey who raised a din seeking
to raise some issues during the question hour.

"Why do you disrupt question hour?" Singh asked.

Taking strong exception to Tripathi rushing to the
well as his adjournment motion on issues pertaining to Palamau
was disallowed, Singh asked him to read the rule book that
underlined any motion of adjournment should be submitted two
hours before the start of the house proceedings.

"But you gave it barely 15 minutes before the house
began," Singh said while showing the rule book.

As both the MLAs continued to created ruckus in
support of their demands, the house was adjourned till 2 pm.

Both Tripathi and Dubey were among the five MLAs who
had been suspended from the house on March 3 for the remaining
part of the budget session. The order, was however, revoked
the same day itself.
