Three convicted for murdering Sreeleathers owner

Ashis Dey was shot dead when he was going from his house to his showroom on a motorcycle.

Jamshedpur: A local court on Saturday convicted three persons, including the son of a police inspector, for murdering a shoe company owner in Sakchi area here around four years ago.

Pappu don for killing Ashis Dey, the owner of Sreeleathers, on
November 2, 2007.

While Amlesh is the eldest son of the secretary of the
Jharkhand Police Association, Vinod is a hotelier. Two other
accused Akhilesh and Vikram are absconding.

Akhilesh, younger brother of Amlesh, who was undergoing
life sentence for a murder since 2002 in Hazaribag jail, had
fled while on a parole in 2008.

Dey was shot dead when he was going from his house to his
showroom on a motorcycle.

The quantum of punishment will be announced on September
21.
