Three Maoists arrested in Jharkhand

Chaibasa (Jharkhand): Three Maoist cadres
were arrested on Friday at Sonua in Naxal-hit West Singhbhum
district of Jharkhand, police said.
The Maoist cadres identified as Kisan Diggi, Karam Singh
Diggi and Behra Diggi were produced before the court of
Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate before being sent to
jail, they said.

The trio have been accused of blocking a road
construction work between Raghoi and Nitaighot village in 2009
and torching engineering equipments belonging to a contractor
after their extortion demand was not met.
Besides the trio, an FIR was lodged against three other
persons in connection to the incident, said officials.
