TTE throws passenger out of train

A passenger has accused a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) of pushing him from the compartment of an express train for refusing to pay money, police said here on Tuesday.

Deogarh (Jharkhand): A passenger has
accused a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) of pushing him from the
compartment of an express train for refusing to pay money,
police said here on Tuesday.

"Shiv Kumar Singh, who registered an FIR with the
Jassidih police station in Deogarh, alleged that a TTE of the
Patna-Chittaranjan Purva Express pushed him out of the door
after he refused to pay money around 1 pm yesterday near
Bandha-Kendua village of Deogarh district," sub-divisional
police officer PK Shah told newsmen here.

Singh, who suffered injuries on head and other parts
of his body, remained unattended at the spot till 7 pm
yesterday when some villagers informed the Jassidih police
station and the police admitted him to the sadar hospital.

Shah said Singh alleged that a RPF official had come
to the spot but did not take him to the hospital saying the
area was not under his jurisdiction.

The SDPO said a special messenger was sent to handover
Singh`s statement to the Government Reserve Police (GRP) as
the incident happened inside the train.

Singh, who is working with the Kendua Colliery in
Dhanbad district, had boarded the train in Patna and the TTE
allegedly asked him money near Jha Jha.

The passenger claimed that he had bought ticket and
that he could recognise the TTE if he were paraded, the SDPO
said.
