Ultras take govt official hostage for an hour

A government officer Sunday claimed that he was taken hostage by the Maoists for an hour, who complained to him about corruption in developmental schemes before setting him free in Latehar`s Doki village.

hour, who complained to him about corruption in developmental
schemes before setting him free in Latehar`s Doki village.

"I went to inspect developmental schemes when some
Naxalites took me and held me up for an hour. They complained
about corruption in the ongoing developmental schemes in the
village," District Development Officer, Sudhansu Bhusan Ram
said.

Ram told newsmen that two local reporters had accompanied
him, adding the ultras set him and the reporters free without
any harm.
