Coimbatore: Federation of All Muslim organisations and political parties on Thursday sought a CBI probe into the April 17 blast in front of the BJP office in Bangalore and release of all six persons arrested in this connection.

"Both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu police were foisting false charges against innocent Muslims for the drama of blast allegedly enacted by BJP to garner sympathy votes in the Assembly elections," Mohammed Haneefa, the Federation Coordinator told reporters here.

He alleged that the much publicised reports of seizure of explosives from the houses of accused by Karnataka police, was stage managed to trap innocent Muslims.

It was clear from the statement of a woman relative of Kichan Buhari, one of the accused, that the officials had `planted` the bags and some fake evidence they were carrying, in the house, Ismail, president, Popular Front of India, said.

As the federation did not trust Karnataka and Tamil Nadu police it was better to hand over the case to CBI, he said.

Besides PFI, representatives of the Indian National League, Marumalarchi Muslim League, Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhakam, Socialist Democratic Party of India, were present.
