Court asks Reddy to appear personally in mining case

The Dharwad Circuit bench of the Karnataka HC today dismissed a SLP filed by state Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy against JMFC Sandur (Bellary District) order passed last year to personally appear before court.

Reddy against Judicial Magistrate First Court (JMFC) Sandur
(Bellary District) order passed last year to personally appear
before court in a case filed by the another Bellary-based mine
owner.

When the case filed by Tapala Ganesh alleging illegal
mining by Reddy in the TNR mines owned by him (Ganesh) came up
before the Single Bench for disposal, Justice Ashok Inchagiri
ordered dismissal of the SLP and directed Reddy to appear
before the court.
