Dharwad: The Dharwad Circuit bench of
the Karnataka High Court today dismissed a Special Leave
Petition (SLP) filed by state Tourism Minister Janardhana
Reddy against Judicial Magistrate First Court (JMFC) Sandur
(Bellary District) order passed last year to personally appear
before court in a case filed by the another Bellary-based mine
owner.
When the case filed by Tapala Ganesh alleging illegal
mining by Reddy in the TNR mines owned by him (Ganesh) came up
before the Single Bench for disposal, Justice Ashok Inchagiri
ordered dismissal of the SLP and directed Reddy to appear
before the court.
