"There is no threat to the government and BJP as the
corruption allegations against some ministers are yet to be
proved," said Sreeramulu, who resigned his Assembly membership
over a month ago reportedly unhappy over denial of ministerial
berth following his indictment in the Lokayukta report on
illegal mining.

Sreeramulu said though he had resigned from the Assembly
membership, he was monitoring developmental activities in
Bellary district. "I am in constant touch with the district
administration," he added.

He, however, refused to disclose his next course of
action.

Sreeramulu, a close associate of Reddy brothers,
submitted his resignation from the assembly membership to
Speaker K G Bopaiah on September 4. His resignation was
accepted on October 13.
