Bangalore: Karnataka High Court on Saturday stayed proceedings in a lower court against former Karnataka Public Service Commission chief H N Krishna in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitments by the commission.
Justice V Jagannathan stayed the proceedings before the first Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court pending disposal of Krishna`s petition seeking quashing of the proceedings.
Krishna, who was granted bail about six months ago, had sought quashing of the proceedings on the ground that no sanction had been taken by the lower court to prosecute him and that he was not responsible for the irregularities allegedly committed by his subordinate officials.
