Bangalore: Taking a dig at the 2010-11 budget
proposals of the BJP government, former Karnataka Chief
Minister H D Kumaraswamy dubbed it as "pack of false promises
and unhonoured assurances".
"The Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has described it
as an ambitious budget. But the Rs 6000 crore (plan) he
unveiled in his 2008-09 budget for upgrading Bangalore
infrastructure still remains on paper. What are the programmes
he has implemented, let him place facts before the state
assembly", state unit JDS president Kumaraswamy told a press
conference here.

"Yeddyurappa while presenting the first budget of the
BJP government in 2008-09 had promised to spend Rs 18,000
crore over three years. He said ten flyovers and 40
multi-storey parking lots would be constructed. Even today
these works have not been started," he charged.
Same programmes were repeated for Bangalore development in
2009-10, but remained unimplemented, he alleged.

"How long can the BJP government deceive people of the
City? he asked and alleged that the government had also
`cheated` farmers.
