Catholic church practising `Talibanism`: KCF

The Kerala Catholic Federation (KCF) on Monday described the dismissal of college lecturer Prof T J Joseph, whose right hand was chopped off by PFI activists, as `a Talibanism` practised by the Catholic church.

Thrissur: The Kerala Catholic Federation
(KCF) on Monday described the dismissal of college lecturer Prof
T J Joseph, whose right hand was chopped off by PFI activists,
as `a Talibanism` practised by the Catholic church.

The decision of the management of the Newman College, a
Christian institution, was `unkindest cut of all`, KCF
President Joy Paul Pudussery said in a statement here.

Jopseph, who faced the brutal attack for preparing a
question paper with derogatory reference to Prophet Mohammad,
was last week sacked by the college on grounds of hurting
religious sentiments.

Pudussery alleged that the Catholic Bishops` Conference of
India (CBCI) and the Kerala Catholic Bishops` Council (KCBC)
have transgressed all the boundaries of `morality` by
justifying the `heinous` act of the college management.
