Chattarpur (MP): Three persons including a
hotel owner were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a
French tourist on the New Year's eve at the temple city of
Khajuraho, near Chattarpur.
Sarah Nurjok (21), the French woman, filed complaint with
the police yesterday, said Khajuraho Police Station in-charge,
Mukesh Khamparia.
Sarah was celebrating with her Indian friend at a hotel
on December 31, when she was allegedly detained by Pranav
Singh Chandel, the hotel owner, and local guides Salman and
Badruddin.
They allegedly tried to extort money from her and to
molest her.
She was not allowed to leave the hotel, but somehow
managed to escape yesterday and went to the police, police
said.
The accused have been booked under sections 354
(outraging woman's modesty) and 327 (causing hurt to extort)
of the Indian Penal Code.
