Rewa: A 65-year-old man on Tuesday filed a
complaint with the District Collector here alleging that a
vasectomy (sterilisation procedure) was performed on him at
the district hospital without his knowledge.
Ramdeen Saket, in his complaint to Collector S N Rupla,
stated that sarpanch and secretary of his village (Udhki)
brought him here on February nine on the pretext of getting
him treated.
But, at the district hospital where he was taken, a
vasectomy operation was performed, he alleged.
Saket has two sons, aged 35 and 25. His wife had
undergone a family planning operation nearly 15 years ago.
But the hospital records show his age as 35.
The Collector told the reporters that he will get the
matter probed.
