Indore: In the backdrop of reports of the
alleged scam at the Singapore-based online survey company
Speak Asia, the BJP on Saturday demanded the accused be booked for
economic offences.

In a memorandum submitted to the Superintendent of Police
of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Manoj Singh, the Madhya
Pradesh convener of BJP Investment Cell Mukesh Singh Rajawat
said an FIR be registered against the company for the alleged
fraud.
Rajawat claimed about 25 clients from Indore were cheated
by the online survey company in the recent past.

Speak Asia charged Rs 11,000 from each of its clients for
enrolling them as a member, but it neither communicated to
them after that nor returned their money, he said.

The Cell demanded the cases be probed as economic offences
either separately or jointly after filing a complaint.

Mumbai police had recently arrested five accused,
including Speak Asia`s Chief Operating Officer in India (COO)
Tarak Bajpai and Finance Manager Ravi Khanna, in connection
with the multi-level marketing scam.
Speak Asia had promised lucrative returns through a
multi-marketing pyramid model. The firm allegedly duped over
12 lakh investors, also called as panelists to the tune of Rs
1,300 crore, by assuring them commission if they introduced
new members.
