Indore: The 14 km-long proposed Indore BRTS project worth Rs 140 crore would be ready by September this year, Madhya Pradesh Minister for Panchayati Raj Gopal Bhargawa made an announcement here on Saturday.
All the existing encroachments, including the religious structures, would be removed after public consensus, the minister added.
Bhargawa, who is also minister in-charge of Indore district, admitted that the project got delayed for the last six years.
"A high-level meeting with district administration, public representatives and local religious leaders will be convened over the removal of religious structures from the BRTS route. This would facilitate completion of the BRTS project," he said.
The minister added that the government plans to construct cement roads in the villages of the state.
