MP to have Rs 56,250.34 cr estimated loan by March 2011

Madhya Pradesh will have an estimated loan component of Rs 56,250.34 crore by March 31, 2011 while in the year 2008-09 it has paid an interest of Rs 4,192 crore on the borrowings.

Rs 4,192 crore on the borrowings.

In a written reply to Congress`s Deputy Leader in the
State Assembly, Choudhry Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi, Finance
Minister, Raghavji said that the Accountant General has not
yet finalised the figures of the year 2009-10.

However, as per the final audit in the year 2008-09
the state has paid an interest of Rs 2,961.37 crore on
internal borrowings, Rs 537.52 crore on small savings and
future securities among others, Rs 692.91 crore on loans and
advances from the Centre and Rs 00.20 crore on other
liabilities.

The Finance Minister informed the House that by March
31, 2011, the state will have an estimated loan component of
Rs 56,250.34 crore.
