Shajapur (MP): A 35-year-old woman was
allegedly raped and killed by an unidentified person in the
Nishaniya forest area near here, police said today.
The woman had gone to the forest to rear goats where
she was allegedly raped and strangulated to death by an
unidentified person, Soyatkalan police station in-charge
Taresh Soni told reporters today.
When the victim failed to return to her village till
late in the evening her family members rushed to the forest
area and found her body lying on the ground, following which
they informed the police.
The body has been sent for autopsy, police said,
adding a case has been registered and further probe is on.
