`Congress must follow coalition dharma`

Manikrao Thakre, on Monday, urged its leaders to avoid heaping allegations on NCP counterparts and asked them to maintain `aghadicha dharma`.

Nashik: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress
Committee (MPCC) chief Manikrao Thakre, on Monday, urged its leaders
to avoid heaping allegations on NCP counterparts and asked
them to maintain `aghadicha dharma` (coalition dharma) for the
ensuing corporation polls.

Speaking to reporters here, Thakre said Congress has
selected candidates with clean character for the NMC elections
and hoped that the party will provide clean administration and
pursue development.

He asked Congressmen to avoid making allegations on
alliance partners NCP at an individual level and follow the
coalition dharma.

On faults being found in Electronic Voting Machines
(EVMs) in recently held ZP polls, Thakre said a delegation of
the Congress party will meet the State Election Commission to
discuss the issue.

Thakre also clarified that the party will not take the
support of Sena-BJP and MNS to come to power in Nashik
Municipal Corporation (NMC).

When asked about rebel-candidates contesting against
official Congressmen, Thakre said they have been told to
withdraw and declare support to Congress candidates by
tomorrow and failure to do so will attract suspension notices.
