Jalna: Hundreds of people with cleft
palates, facial deformities, burns and contractures can get a new lease of life at a free plastic surgery camp at the
Mission Hospital here on February 29.
The camp has been organized by German Rotary Volunteer
Doctors Rotary Club of Jalna, Rotary club of Bombay Midtown
and Rotary Club of Jalna.
The President of Jalna Rotary Club, Sunil Raithatha said
we have been conducting camps for last eight years and during
this period about 1200 persons were corrected at the camps.
This year too, 120 persons will be operated upon, he said.
He said the organisers of the camp and doctors provide
full care and support to patients which include prolonged post
operative speech therapy as well as physiotherapy for months.
The doctors include Anaesthesiologist and Head of the
Department at EVK Hattingen Dr Gerhard K. Schlosser, maxillofacial Surgeons Dr. Jihan Mohasseb and Dr. Alexis
Landersa among others. The staff of Mission Hospital will also
be offering their services.
