Akola: A man and his friend have been arrested here for allegedly selling the wife.
Pundlik Chavan, the husband, and Ganesh Walode were arrested yesterday under section 370 of Indian Penal Code and remanded in police custody till July 15, police said.
According to police, Pundlik, resident of village Jalgaon Nahate, sold his wife to Ramesh Aasaram Walode from Shirla in Khargon district of Madhya Pradesh a few days ago.
When his sister-in-law learnt about it, she appraoched the police. Further probe is on.
