Mumbai: NCP on Tuesday said its joint manifesto
with Congress for the Mumbai civic polls would focus on
`Marathi pride`, among other issues.
Talking to reporters here, Mumbai NCP chief Narendra
Varma said that Marathi culture and Marathi schools were
facing challenges.
He also said that though there was not much rebellion in
NCP, those who rebel would be expelled for six years.
As to the campaign, he said NCP chief Sharad Pawar,
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Union Minister
Praful Patel and Home Minister RR Patil would be the party`s
star campaigners.
He also said that NCP could rope in Bollywood stars.
