Thane: Two persons were killed when their bike was knocked down by an unknown vehicle in Bhiwandi, police said on Thursday.
Dinesh Harishchandra Bhagat (23) and Maishan Kashinath Bhagat (20) fell down from the motorcycle due to the impact and died on the spot last night, said inspector G D Pingle of Bhiwandi taluka police station.
The incident occurred near Chandani Dhaba, police said.
A case under section 304-A of IPC was registered against the driver of the vehicle who fled from the spot after the mishap.
