New Delhi: Scathing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for having caused instability in the capital by staging dharna, the BJP`s leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley called him a `Maoist without weapons`.

Kejriwal, who has already been labelled `anarchist` by both the BJP and Congress leaders, has now earned the new tag of `Maoist` after he called off his sit-in protest on Tuesday.

Making light of the `anarchist` tag, Kejriwal said, "Yes, I am an anarchist.." adding that for some people anarchy translates into democracy.

However, BJP`s Arun Jaitley lashed out at the Delhi CM for having stirred anarchy in the capital with his political gimmickry and populist moves.

"AAP had threatened to disturb the Republic Day because of an SHO not being suspended. It is an absurdly disproportionate action to the demand...," Jaitley told a news agency.

Calling him a `theatre of the absurd`, Jaitley slammed Kejriwal for having threatened to disrupt Republic Day celebrations, expressing his displeasure in a tweet.

Threatening to hinder R-day parade, Kejriwal had yesterday said that Rajpath on 26th January, will be thronged by lakhs of people, and not the tableau if his demands aren`t met.

"Republic Day does not mean people enjoying tableau at Rajpath... it means the rule of people," said Kejriwal raking up the issue of increasing cases of crimes against women in the capital.

Arun Jaitley in his blog said that the conduct of AAP was "challenge to constitutionalism", adding that some of its member were the Maoists in Chhatisgarh.

"Today a party which aspires to become a national party defacto threatens to disturb the Republic Day. Its members comprise of supporters of the separatists in Jammu & Kashmir and the Maoists in Chhatisgarh," wrote Jaitley.

BJP President Vijay Goel also related the Aam aadmi Party to the Maoist ideology, saying that the main aim of Kejriwal`s party was to create anarchy.

Activist and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi also took to twitter to slam Kejriwal`s U-turn on dharna.

"A climb down for CM (chief minister) of Delhi!" Kiran Bedi tweeted.

Kejriwal, who sat on a dharna demanding the suspension of those police officers who had refused his ministers, said that his demands had been partially met as Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung intervened and said that the two SHOs would be sent on leave.

Kejriwal after calling off his dharna, congratulated the people of Delhi saying it was they who won.

“After the Lieutenant Governor`s appeal, we all have decided to end our protest here today... Today the people of Delhi have won. I want to congratulate the people of Delhi," said Kejriwal.
