Centre should bring black money and use for development: BJP

BJP urged the Centre to step up efforts so that the funds could be used for economic development of Bihar and North-East region.

Patna: Accusing the UPA government of
being indifferent toward bringing back black money stashed
abroad, the BJP on Sunday urged the Centre to step up efforts so
that the funds could be used for economic development of Bihar
and North-East region.

The estimated 22.50 lakh crores of black money stashed
in foreign bank should be brought back and channelised for
economic development of Bihar and North-East to take them
among the front line of the developed states in our country,
the state unit BJP President CP Thakur told reporters here.

However, the Centre appeared to be indifferent in
pursuing with the foreign countries to return the ill-gotten
wealth, he said.

Thakur said that the BJP, on its part, has been
consistently putting pressure on the Centre to act tough and
fast on checking corruption.
