The First Lady of China, Peng Liyuan on Thursday visited Tagore International School, here in Vasant Vihar and witnessed various cultural programmes performed by the school students.

New Delhi: The First Lady of China, Peng Liyuan on Thursday visited Tagore International School, here in Vasant Vihar and witnessed various cultural programmes performed by the school students.

The Chinese President's wife was visibly delighted to witness the cultural acts performed by the students showcasing various dance and art forms, highlighting the cultural ethos of India.

Later, she left her impression by scripting a message for students in Chinese calligraphy.

Earlier today, the Chinese First Lady visited Rajghat along with her husband Xi Jinping where they both paid homage at the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

She was also present at the Rashtrapati Bhawan where the Chinese President was accorded a ceremonial reception.

Peng Liyuan is accompanying Chinese President Xi Jinping on a three-day state visit to India with an objective of expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties.
