New Delhi: Government has provided elite
CISF cover to four private sector installations, including the
Jamnagar refinery of Reliance Industries, the Lok Sabha was
informed on Tuesday.
"So far, the CISF has been deployed for the security of
four private sector installations," Minister of State for Home
Ajay Maken told the House.
These are Infosys Technologies, Bangalore; Electronics
City, Bangalore; Infosys Technologies, Mysore; and Reliance
Refinery and Petrochemicals, Jamnagar, Gujarat, he said.
Maken said the CISF had received requests from 128
private sector installations for deployment of its personnel
for security.
The government takes a decision on providing CISF
security to private companies after a detailed assessment
conducted through security survey and threat perception on the
types of possible armed attacks, he said.
