Pune: Anna Hazare on Friday criticised senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh for calling him a member of RSS and said a person like Digvijay should be sent to a mental asylum for making such statements.
Singh had earlier called Hazare as the member of Rashtriya Sevak Sangh (RSS).
Speaking to the media persons here, Hazare, who was present in the city for a hearing of his Hindswaraj Trust case in a Sessions court, said Singh had earlier claimed that he was a member of RSS just because the Congress leader saw a photo of Bharat Mata behind him and made such remarks.
``I am just an Indian and do not belong to any party,`` Hazare said.
Singh should take some treatment in a mental assylum for making such type of remarks, he remarked.
Speaking about yoga guru Baba Ramdev, the anti-corruption crusader expressed concern over Baba`s condition and said he should end his fast soon.
He expressed happiness over the Prime Minister taking interest in the declaration of some minister`s property and said all the political leaders should declare their property.
