Five fishermen held by Sri Lankan navy

Rameswaram (TN): Five fishermen from this
town were taken into custody by Sri Lankan naval personnel
today when they were reportedly fishing in Lankan territorial
waters, police said on Sunday.
The police, quoting Assistant Director of Fisheries
Veeran, said the fishermen were taken to Talaimannar with
their boat.
A local court remanded them in judicial custody
after which they were lodged in prison.
