Govt adopting `stubborn` attitude in 2G scam: SP

SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Monday said his party would not settle for anything less than a JPC to probe irregularities in Commonwealth Games projects, Adarsh housing society scam and allocation of 2G spectrum.

New Delhi: Accusing the government of adopting
a "stubborn" approach, SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Monday said his party would not settle for anything less than a JPC to probe irregularities in Commonwealth Games projects, Adarsh
housing society scam and allocation of 2G spectrum.

"I told Leader of the House (Pranab Mukherjee) at the
luncheon meeting that we still stick to our demand for a JPC probe," Yadav told reporters here.
He claimed that had the government accepted oppositions`
demand for JPC, it would not have encountered the "problems"
it is facing today.

"The stubborn approach of the government and its arrogance
has led to a situation where it finds itself cornered," he
said.
Asked whether he could suggest a way out, Yadav said it was
up to Mukherjee, who is Leader of the Lok Sabha, to find a
solution. "As of now, I don`t see a way out," he added.

Samajwadi Party has 22 members in the Lok Sabha.
