New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to resign in the wake of the controversy over ordinance on convicted lawmakers.
BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said the Prime Minister should resign if he has any shame left.
It may be noted that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has dubbed as “nonsense” the ordinance on convicted lawmakers issued by the Manmohan Cabinet.
The PM is today meeting Rahul, President Pranab Mukherjee and his Cabinet to discuss the ordinance mess. It is expected that the ordinance may be withdrawn today itself.
