New Delhi: India and Israel on Monday discussed
counter-terrorism cooperation and ways to step up
collaboration in related fields.

The issues were discussed during a meeting between
National Security Adviser M K Narayanan and his Israeli
counterpart Uzi Arad here, official sources said.

Cooperation between the two countries on
counter-terrorism has been growing over the last few years but
it got impetus after the Mumbai attacks of November 2008 when
Israeli nationals were specifically targeted.

The bilateral joint working group on counter-terrorism
met here last month and held detailed deliberations on the
ways in which cooperation could be enhanced, particularly in
the field of intelligence-sharing.
