MHA team reviews status of migrants` PM package

A Central team from Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday reviewed various projects undertaken by the J-K govt to build flats for the Kashmiri migrants in and around the city under the PM`s Reconstruction programme.

Jammu: A Central team from Ministry of Home
Affairs on Tuesday reviewed various projects undertaken by the
Jammu and Kashmir government to build flats for the Kashmiri
migrants in and around the city under the Prime Minister`s
Reconstruction programme.

The team headed by Deputy Secretary MHA, Jammu and
Kashmir Affairs, Dr V Candavelu visited various migrant camps
and also the under construction Jagti Migrant camp in Nagrota
during its two-day visits, an official spokesman said.

Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Vinood Koul
apprised the team that out of 5,242 flats to be built with an
estimated cost of Rs 345 Crores, 1,024 two-room tenements have
been completed at a cost of Rs 51 crores in the first phase at
various locations and allotment made.
