Over 10,000 students appear for Common Admission Test

As many as 10,879 candidates on Sunday appeared for the ongoing Common Admission Test (CAT) which completed successfully.

New Delhi: As many as 10,879 candidates on Sunday appeared for the ongoing Common Admission Test (CAT) which completed successfully, testing agency Prometric said.
The test, which began on October 11, will conclude on November 6.

Thirty-five candidates appearing for CAT yesterday at a centre here had to return back without appearing for it, with Prometric blaming an "electrical malfunction" for the disruption.

Prometric had said in a statement that the candidates will be provided with a new test appointment within the testing window as per their convenience.

According to it, 35 candidates could not appear for the test as "an electrical malfunction caused the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) at the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, to be damaged."
