Presence of Indian insurgents in Bangladesh will top the agenda of the regional level Commanders meeting between the Border Security Force and Border Guards of Bangladesh at Dawki in Meghalaya on February 23, BSF sources said here on Wednesday.

Both the border guards have already exchanged their agenda of discussion for the meeting where the Indian side will be led by the Inspector General of BSF, Assam Sector, S K Srinivasan and the IGs of Tripura and Meghalaya will also join the delegation.

BSF issues include insurgency, smuggling of fake currency notes, human trafficking, migration, damage of barbed wire fencing, poaching in wildlife sanctuaries bordering the neighbouring country and Confidence Building Measures (CBM), the sources said.
The BGB`s agenda include smuggling of drugs and narcotics, illegal crossing of borders, protection of rivers, unauthorised constructions along the border line and cleaning of sewerage and construction of treatment plants.

Meanwhile, BSF sources said they seized contrabands, textiles, narcotics and livestocks worth Rs 97,69,035 from different parts of the border in January.

BSF also nabbed 10 Bangladeshi trespassers during the time.
