boys have tested positive for swine flu here, taking the total
number of such cases in the city to 15.

A 14-year-old boy from Panchkula, who had recently
returned from Hong Kong with his parents, was taken to
Government Medical College and Hospital on Thursday with
swine-flu like symptoms.

Another 14-year-old boy, who did not have any recent
travel history, also tested positive for H1N1 virus. Four
members of his family have also been quarantined, nodal
officer for swine flu cases H C Gera said.

A 28-year-old woman, who is a permanent resident of
United Kingdom and was here to meet her relatives, also tested
positive for the virus.

All the three patients were responding to treatment,
he said.

With this, the city has so far reported 15 cases of
swine flu.

Five fresh suspected swine flu cases were also reported
at various hospitals in the city yesterday.

Meanwhile, PGIMER`s Department of Virology has extended
its diagnostic services to Chandigarh, Punjab and J&K within a
week of starting services for the swine flu testing.

The department`s testing laboratory has so far tested
samples of 61 patients, out of which four were found
positive, a PGIMER spokesman said here.

"As the samples are being received from other states,
the department has opened a 12-hour swine flu sample receiving
counter in the department and reports are made available
within a day," she said.
