Itanagar: Rajya Sabha member Mukut Mithi has adopted Mayu-II gram panchayat segment in Roing Assembly constituency as a model panchayat segment (village) under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana Scheme.
As per the scheme, each MP will adopt a village and nurture it under his/her guidance to develop it into a model village in terms of health, cleanliness, greenery and cordiality to serve as demonstration villages for the surrounding areas to learn and replicate these efforts.
DC Shiv Kumar along with M Dirchi, District Planning Officer and heads of various line departments accompany him visited the village yesterday and interact with the panchayat members and villagers at Rekoh, Keraah villages, an official communique informed.
The DC informed that the base line survey of the adopted gram panchayat segment would be conducted within this week.
Dirchi highlighted the villagers about the SAGY scheme and asked for their cooperation and participation for successful implementation of the scheme in the village, the communiqu? added.
