Imphal: Five militants of different
outfits have been arrested from Manipur`s Imphal West district
in the past 24 hours.
Three cadre of the banned Kangleipak Communist
Party-Military council were arrested from Thouda Bhavok Leikai
Hotel Excellency area in Imphal West district yesterday,
Superintendent of Police, L Kailun, said today.
Assam Rifles personnel arrested an insurgent belonging
to People`s Liberation Army from Nongbram area in the same
district yesterday, official sources said.
A 9mm pistol and ammunition were seized from his
possession, the sources said.
Another PLA insurgent was nabbed from Irengbam Makha
Leikai area by the 12 Maratha Rifles yesterday, the sources
said.
All arrested the militants have been handed over to
the police.
