Ministerial portfolio reshuffle in Mizoram

Mizoram CM Lal Thanhawla on Thursday undertook a minor reshuffle of portfolios in his two-year-and-five-month-old ministry.

Thanhawla on Thursday undertook a minor reshuffle of portfolios in
his two-year-and-five-month-old ministry by taking away the
portfolios of Minor Irrigation, Soil and Water Conservation
and Fisheries from his senior cabinet colleague H Liansailova.
While Lal Thanhawla kept these portfolios, he gave
Finance and Planning departments to Liansailova, an official
order said, adding that the former still kept Political and
Cabinet, Vigilance, General Administration Department,
Secretariat Administration Department, Power and Public Works
portfolios.

In addition to the two new portfolios, Liansailova
retained Agriculture, Horticulture, Department of Personnel
and Administrative Reforms.
This was the first reshuffle of portfolios taken up by
the chief minister after forming his ministry in the latter
part of 2008.
