Mizoram assembly condoles L N Tluanga

Aizawl: Mizoram assembly on Thursday paid
tribute to the former legislator L N Tluanga who died on
November 23, 2009 and the house observed one-minute silence to
show him respect.

Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla, while giving obituary
reference said Tluanga was a social worker, 3-time president
of the central committee of Young Mizo Association (YMA) and
also founder of many other organisations in the state.

Participation of students in the parades on national
days were initiated by him when he was president of the
Mizoram Middle School Teachers Association, he said.

Many of the Mizo leaders including present legislators
are students of Tluanga when he was the headmaster of Dawrpui
Middle School in Aizawl.
