NE Spring Festival from Friday

A week-long North East Spring Festival begins tomorrow at North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) complex at Dimapur.

Kohima: A week-long North East Spring
Festival begins tomorrow at North East Zone Cultural Centre
(NEZCC) complex at Dimapur.

The festival organised by NEZCC, an institution under the
union ministry of culture and tourism, will be inaugurated by
Nagland Governor Nikhil Kumar and will be participated by
about 380 artistes from the region and other parts of the
country, the organisers said.

The festival aims to provide a common platform to folk
artistes to showcase their art and enable them to interact
with each other to strengthen the bond of national
integration.

Chief minister Neiphiu Rio will be the guest of honour in
tomorrow’s inaugural function.

The organisers said apart from programmes of dance and
music, traditional costumes, choral singing, folk fusion and
western music will also be showcased at the festival.
