Two NDFB militants killed in encounter

Udalguri (Assam): Security forces today
killed two militants of National Democratic Front of Boroland
(NDFB) in an encounter in Assam`s Udalguri district along the
Indo-Bhutan border, official sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the army and police
launched an operation at Rowta area and an encounter followed
in which the two militants were killed, they said.

The security forces later recovered an AK-56 rifle, a
pistol, a grenade, a magazine, eight live rounds of
ammunitions, 22 fired cases, a mobile, five SIM cards and a
motorcycle from the spot, they added.
