Cuttack: Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti
(PPSS) president Abhay Sahu has appeared before the Orissa
High Court through his advocate and sought seven days time to
file his reply to the notice served on him by the HC last
week.
Sahu was summoned by the HC in response to two PILs
filed in connection with 52 families of Dhinkia village of
Jagatsinghpur district who are not able to return to their
villages for the last four years.
The petitioners had alleged that Sahu was instrumental
in forcing them to lead an ostracised life putting up at a
transit camp away from their village.
Sahu`s advocate Prashant Kumar Jena had yesterday
urged the High Court to grant him seven days time to file his
counter.
The Division Bench of Chief Justice V Gopala Gowda and
Justice BN Mohapatra allowed the prayer of Sahu, informed his
counsel Jena.
