MLA faces probe in Orissa

Kendrapara (Orissa): Kendrapara district
administration in Orissa has ordered a probe to ascertain the
veracity of a report that a ruling BJD MLA has resorted to
collect money from retailers of "unscrupulous" public
distribution system in the state.

The allegation has been leveled by a sitting
member of Zilla Parishad, according to official sources.

Rajnagar tehsildar has been asked to probe the charges
and directed to submit its findings at the earliest said
Kendrapara sub-collector, Ranjan Kumar Das.

The MLA was not immediately available for comment.
