Naveen slams Cong, BJP for neglecting Odisha

Slamming both Congress and BJP, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday held the Centre responsible for spiralling prices of essential commodities.

Raighar: Slamming both Congress and
BJP, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday held the Centre responsible for spiralling prices of essential commodities.

"People are suffering due to skyrocketing prices of
essential commodities as Congress led UPA Government has
failed to control it," Patnaik told a rally organised for the
by-election in Umerkote assembly segment in Nabarangpur
district.

Accusing Congress and BJP of being insincere about
uplift of the people in the Maoist-hit district, he said
leaders of these parties were now visiting the backward area
to seek votes and shedding "crocodile`s tears".
Alleging that the UPA Government at the Centre was
neck-deep in corruption while BJP was not far behind, he said
"In Odisha, I am taking strong steps against corruption. My
government has confiscated property of corrupt persons and
utilised it for public welfare."

Patnaik said BJD was seriously fighting for the interest
of four crore people of Odisha. But Congress and BJP had
always ignored the interest of the state.
