Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President
and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal Friday lashed out at former chief minister and PCC chief Amarinder Singh alleging that he always created hurdles in the way of
development of the state.

Badal alleged that Singh had been "personally meeting"
Union ministers concerned to get scuttled the development
schemes which Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had got
sanctioned for the state.

He was addressing rallies in favour of SAD-Sant Samaj candidates for the SGPC elections at Lopoke, Ajnala, Loharka and Shehrta.
The Deputy Chief Minister said Badal had recently got
sanctioned from the Union Minister for Housing and Urban
development Kumari Selja a proposal worth Rs. 750 crore for
providing the basic civic amenities in the 50 towns of the
state.
Badal said the main plank of the Akali Dal in the Assembly
elections would be development and people`s empowerment
through governance reforms.
