Mercury rises slightly in Punjab & Haryana

Mercury has been steadily rising during the past few days in the plains of Punjab and Haryana, with temperatures today hovering few notches above the normal level.

during the past few days in the plains of Punjab and Haryana, with temperatures today hovering few notches above the normal level.

While the maximum temperatures have been hovering
between 26-30 degrees Celsius, the minimums, too, have started
to rise during the past few days, the MeT said here.
The night temperatures in the two states today settled
few notches above normal, with Ambala in Haryana recording a
low of 15.5 deg C, up two notches, the MeT said.

Gurgaon registered a low of 13.5 deg C, up one notch,
while the low at Hisar settled at 12.1 deg C. The minimum at
Karnal was 12.2 deg C.
Chandigarh recorded a low of 13.6 deg C, two above
normal.

In Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a low of 14 deg C, up one
notch. The low at Patiala settled at 13 deg C, while the
minimum at Amritsar was 11.1 deg C.
