Rajasthan reels under cold wave, Churu coldest at zero deg C

Rajasthan remained under the grip of bitting cold with Churu freezing at a low of zero degree Celsius.

Churu was the coldest place in the state followed by SriGanganagar where people shivered at 1.8 degree celsius, the Meteorological department said.

Bone chilling cold prevailed in other parts also with Bikaner and Jaisalmer recording a night temperature of 2.6 and 5.2 degree Celsius respectively.
Mount Abu recorded a low of 7 degree Celsius while in Jaipur, Pilani, Barmer and Ajmer mercury settled at 9.4, 8.3, 9.6 and 11 degree Celsius respectively, MeT officials said.
