Kabul: Afghan police killed 17 Taliban militants and wounded five others across the country since Sunday, said Interior Ministry in a statement on Monday.
"Afghan National Police backed by Army and the NATO-led coalition forces launched seven operations in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Logar, Khost and Helmand provinces over the past 24 hours during which 17 Taliban were killed, five wounded and two others were arrested," said the statement, reported Xinhua.
