Pak ask Swat militants to surrender by May 15 or face action

Pakistan security forces have decided to confiscate the properties of all wanted militants in the restive Swat valley and to expel their families from their hometowns if they fail to surrender by May 15.

in the restive Swat valley and to expel their families from
their hometowns if they fail to surrender by May 15.
A poster released by the security forces and pasted in
public places in Swat district directs the militants to
present themselves before the authorities by May 15, failing
which they will lose all their properties and their families
will be expelled from their homes in the region.
Official sources told agency that a sizeable number of
militants wanted by the security forces belonged to Manglawar,
Sair and Tiligram areas of Swat district.

Most parts of Swat district, located about 160 km from
Islamabad, were controlled by Taliban fighters led by radical
cleric Maulana Fazlullah till the Pakistan Army launched an
operation last year to flush out the militants.
