Islamabad: Pakistan and the United Arab
Emirates on Friday finalised an agreement for exchange of
prisoners and a delegation from the UAE will soon visit
Islamabad in this regard, officials said.
The agreement was reached at a meeting between UAE Vice
Prime Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Pakistan’s
Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who is currently in Dubai.
The two ministers also discussed matters of mutual
interest.
Malik said Pakistan attaches great importance to its
relations with the UAE.
He conveyed the good wishes of Prime Minister Yousuf
Raza Gilani to Sheikh Saif and invited him to visit Pakistan,
which he accepted.
